There is growing interest in biological products as tools to increase crop yields, improve nutrient use efficiency, or bolster crop resilience to stress, but a lot of uncertainty remains if these products are a worthwhile investment for farmers. UVM Extension’s Champlain Valley Crop, Soil & Pasture team will provide a brief presentation on biological products, research on their efficacy from other institutions, and important considerations when deciding if a biological product is right for your farm. For farmers interested in trialing a product, this session will cover tips for setting up an on-farm trial and what assistance UVM Extension can provide. There will be time for discussion and for everyone to share their experiences and interests regarding biological products.
Coffee and donuts will be provided! Kindly RSVP to Abby Augarten at abigail.augarten@uvm.edu or via phone at 802-656-7544. Unable to make the meeting and interested in learning more? Email Abby to receive an informational handout.
