ON-FARM TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

We work one-on-one with farmers to implement conservation practices, navigate funding programs, and make informed decisions for their operations.

EVENTS & WORKSHOPS

We host farmer roundtables, in-field workshops, trainings, and equipment demos where farmers can see practices in action, ask questions, and learn from each other.

EQUIPMENT SUPPORT

We help farmers access the equipment they need through demos, dealer connections, cost-share opportunities, and our equipment sharing program.

PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF AGRICULTURE

We strive to build understanding between farmers and the broader community by sharing clear, honest information about how farms operate and why certain practices are used. Through outreach, events, and efforts like our “Ask a Farmer” series, we help make agriculture more accessible and transparent.

A Note About State-Funded Technical Assistance

Like many agricultural service providers in Vermont, CVFC receives funding through the Vermont Agency of Agriculture’s Agricultural Clean Water Initiative Program (AgCWIP) to provide technical assistance to farms.

As part of this funding, some information about farms receiving technical assistance may be entered into the State’s Partner Database and are subject to Vermont’s public records law. We want farmers to understand what information may be shared and how it is used before choosing to participate.
